Hydroseeding is a relatively unknown process in Perth atm
It is a process in which a special mixture of:
- Lawn Seed
- Liquid Fertiliser
- Wood fibres
- Paper Fibres
- Soil Amendments
- Soil wetter
- Takifier (Glue)
- Marker dye
Is all added to a big mixing tank called a Hydroseeder and it is blended together to create a magical mix which is then sprayed onto properly prepared soil surface
After a few weeks when the seed has germinated and starting to grow you have the beginning of a high quality lawn at a fraction of the cost compared to roll on lawn which is only going up in price
The benefits of Hydroseeding is number 1 Price
A single piece of roll on Kikiuyu can cost between $10-$12 per m2 just to buy and then you need to either get it delivered or pick it up and then on top of that pay someone to install it or lay it yourself so a lawn install these days can cost anywhere from $20-$30 per m2 for supply and apply for Kikuyu
Hydroseeding cost from $3-$7 per m2 supplied and applied total cost excluding and soil preparation or soil supply that may be needed, that’s almost a 75% saving which can add up fast when you have a large lawn to install
As well as cost, another benefit is a seed grown in soil will always be healthier that a piece of grass that is grown at a farm and then transported and placed in a new location causing stress
We can hydroseed large areas up to 5000m2 per day allowing us to complete jobs within a tight seasonal schedule
